Tokenized stocks on Base are Coinbase-issued tokens that track US shares and trade onchain, and they have cleared serious DEX volume. For a player, that is evidence the chain under Temptation Token votes and trophies has real uptime and real users. It says nothing about whether any one game on Base is any good, so check the game's contracts yourself before you vote.

What do tokenized stocks on Base tell a skeptical player?

Tokenized stocks on Base tell you the chain carries real, regulated-asset trading, not just games and memes. Coinbase-issued tokenized stocks on Base generated $1.5 billion in DEX volume over a 30-day period, up 313% on the prior 30 days. That is the same chain that settles every Temptation Token vote and mints every trophy.

Here is the real problem a skeptic has. Plenty of games run on chains nobody else uses. A testnet with a casino bolted on can vanish quietly. Base is not that. It is Base mainnet, chain ID 8453, and our token, voting and trophy contracts all live there.

That is the whole claim. Not that the game wins. Just that the ground under it is busy and real.

What are tokenized stocks, and how do they differ from a traditional stock?

A tokenized stock is a token on a blockchain that tracks the price of an underlying share, while a traditional stock is a share held through a broker account and recorded by the market’s own plumbing. The token can move wallet to wallet and trade on a decentralized exchange at any hour. The traditional share trades through an exchange during market hours.

The differences that matter to most users:

Rights such as voting at a shareholder meeting may not come with the token. Read the issuer’s own product terms before treating a token as the same thing as the equity.

Where does the tokenized stock trading on Base actually happen?

Most of it happens in onchain pools on Base, mainly Aerodrome. Of the reported total, about $1.4 billion came from Aerodrome and $83.8 million from Uniswap V4. The same report ties the growth to a network upgrade that raised throughput and cut fees.

The figure itself comes from Token Terminal data, as reported by PANews. That matters because it is onchain volume anyone can trace, not a press-release number.

Here is the short version for a player. When serious trading flow settles on a chain every day, the chain has to stay up, and many people are watching when it does not.

What does that volume say about uptime, liquidity and the chain still being here?

It says Base has strong reasons to stay online, stay liquid and stay around. A chain carrying regulated-asset flow has users, market makers and a large issuer who all lose if it stalls. That pressure works in a player’s favour.

Uptime. Heavy daily use means outages get noticed and fixed fast. If you want to know what happens to a round when the chain does pause, read Base Network Outage: What Happens to Your Vote and Round.

Liquidity. Deep pools on Base mean swapping ETH or USDC is routine. Inside our app, $TTS is topped up by swapping on Base at a live quote, and the app refuses any purchase whose price impact would exceed 5%.

Staying power. No one can promise a chain lasts forever. But a chain institutions trade on next quarter is a safer bet than one nobody uses today.

What does chain volume not tell you about a game?

It tells you nothing about the game itself. Chain quality is not game quality. A strong road does not make every car on it safe.

The questions only the game can answer are these. Who controls the contracts? Can the rules change? Where does the money go? For Temptation Token, the answers sit in our own contracts. The $TTS token is not upgradeable; it is deployed directly, not behind a proxy. It does have a mint function restricted to a minter role, and the 2-of-2 admin multisig can grant that role, so the code does not fix the supply. We would rather you know that than find it.

The voting contract sets the pool split. Without a club, the pool goes 35% to the top voter, 35% to the winning profile, 10% to charity and 20% to the house. Votes on profiles that did not win are sent to the burn address. For a broader set of warning signs, see Rug Pull Red Flags: Five Checks To Run Before You Vote.

What can you check on a block explorer before you vote once?

You can check every contract the game uses, for yourself, on Basescan, the block explorer for Base. It takes a few minutes. Here is how it works:

If any address in an app or a message does not match these, stop. Transactions on Base are irreversible. New to wallets? Start with Connect Wallet to Base Before You Cast Your First Vote.

Frequently asked questions

Are the stocks on Coinbase tokenized?

Some are. Coinbase issues tokenized versions of US stocks on Base, and those tokens trade in onchain pools such as Aerodrome and Uniswap. Shares bought in a regular brokerage account are not the same product. Always read the issuer’s own terms to see what rights a token carries compared with the underlying share.

Does Temptation Token hold or sell tokenized stocks?

No. Temptation Token is a vote-to-earn game on Base, operated by Blockchain Entertainment LLC. It uses its own $TTS game token, a voting contract and a Trophy NFT contract. Tokenized stocks share the same chain, which is the only link. The game offers no stock exposure of any kind.

Do I need to buy anything to play on Base?

No purchase is needed to play. A new wallet receives a one-time signup bonus of 500 $TTS when it first connects in the app, which covers votes at the 5 $TTS minimum. The operator caps how many signup bonuses it pays each day. You still need a small amount of ETH on Base for gas.

Who picks the winning profile in a round?

Nobody picks it by hand. When a round closes, Chainlink VRF draws the winning profile at random, weighted by tickets. More votes give a profile better odds, but no profile is certain to win. Settlement is triggered by the operator’s own keeper service, and every payout lands in the settlement transaction.

Does voting on Base carry a transfer tax?

No. $TTS has a 1% transfer tax on transfers where neither side is tax-exempt, but the voting contract is exempt, so votes carry no transfer tax. The Uniswap V2 pool is exempt too, so swaps there carry none either. Gas in ETH on Base is still needed for every transaction.

The Bottom Line

Tokenized stocks on Base show the chain is busy, liquid and trusted with real trading. That is a good floor. It is not a verdict on any game, ours included. So do the one thing that matters: open Basescan, paste our contract addresses, and read what the code has actually done. One round, one vote, once you are satisfied.
