Key takeaways
- Before you vote, check that your wallet is set to Base mainnet, chain ID 8453, and that your $TTS and a little ETH for gas both sit on Base.

Before you vote, check that your wallet is set to Base mainnet, chain ID 8453, and that your $TTS and a little ETH for gas both sit on Base. A multichain wallet will show balances from many chains, so the same token name can sit on the wrong network. Confirm the network first and your vote has the right funds to land.
Why does a multichain wallet base network check matter before you vote?
It matters because a multichain wallet can hold the right token on the wrong chain, and a vote only works with funds on Base. Temptation Token runs on Base mainnet, chain ID 8453. The voting contract lives there. The $TTS token lives there. Nothing on another chain can reach a round.
Here is the real problem. A wallet that shows every chain at once is handy, and it also hides the one detail a beginner needs. Your address can look the same on many networks. Coinbase explains that a self-custodial wallet can have matching addresses across EVM-compatible networks, so the address alone tells you nothing about the chain.
One round, one vote, one network. If you build the habit of checking the network before anything else, most failed votes never happen. If you are still setting up, start with our guide to a play wallet on Base.

How do I confirm my wallet is on Base?
Open your wallet’s network setting and check that it says Base, not Base Sepolia and not Ethereum. The Base documentation lists Base Mainnet as chain ID 8453 and Base Sepolia, the testnet, as 84532. If a dApp or a network settings page shows a chain ID, it should read 8453.
Here is how it works in practice:
- Step one. Open the network menu, usually at the top of the wallet.
- Step two. Pick Base. If it is missing, add Base mainnet using the details on the official Base docs page.
- Step three. Connect to app.temptationtoken.io and accept any request to switch to Base.
Watch out for testnet. A testnet balance looks real and is worth nothing in a round. If the network name has Sepolia in it, you are in the wrong place.
How can I tell which network a balance sits on?
Look at the small network badge or label beside each token in your wallet, then check the contract address. In a multichain view, the same symbol can appear more than once, once for each chain it sits on.
The honest answer is that the symbol is not proof. Anyone can make a token called TTS. The real $TTS on Base is the ERC-20 contract 0x5570eA97d53A53170e973894A9Fa7feb5785d3b9. If the token in your wallet points somewhere else, it is not the game token.
For a second opinion, paste your address into a Base block explorer. Basescan offers a balance checker for any Base address, so you can see what actually sits on Base. What shows there is what you can vote with.
What do I need on Base before a vote goes through?
You need $TTS on Base and a small amount of ETH on Base for gas. Every Base transaction needs that ETH. ETH sitting on Ethereum mainnet will not pay a Base fee.
The minimum vote is 5 $TTS. A new wallet gets a one-time signup bonus of 500 $TTS when it first connects in the app, paid by the operator from its own wallet, and the operator caps how many bonuses it pays each day. No purchase is needed to play. If you do top up, you do it inside the app by swapping ETH or USDC on Base, or by buying ETH or USDC through a card provider and then swapping.
Here is the test. Before you tap vote, ask two questions. Is my $TTS on Base? Is my gas on Base? Two yeses and you are ready.
What should I do if my funds landed on the wrong network?
Stop, do not send anything more, and confirm exactly which network the funds are on. Then decide whether you can move them to Base yourself or whether they are out of reach.
If the funds sit in your own self-custodial wallet on another network, they are usually still yours. You can switch the wallet to that network to see them, then move them to Base through a bridge or swap you trust. Check the network on both ends before you confirm.
If you sent from an exchange to the wrong network, the picture is harder. Coinbase warns that you must select the correct network or your funds will be lost, and its troubleshooting page says Coinbase cannot recover funds sent on the wrong network. Our app shows the same warning: “⚠ Verify your address carefully. Transactions on Base are irreversible. Blockchain Entertainment LLC bears no responsibility for funds sent to incorrect addresses.”
One more thing. Never answer a stranger who offers to recover funds. Real support at Temptation Token is support@temptationtoken.io, and nobody there will ask for your recovery phrase.
What happens to my vote once it is on Base?
Once you send $TTS to the voting contract on a profile, the vote is final. It cannot be withdrawn or reduced. That is why the network check comes first, not after.
Each round lasts one week and closes on Sunday night, US Eastern time. Up to 50 approved profiles compete. When a round closes, Chainlink VRF draws the winning profile at random, weighted by tickets. More votes give a profile better odds, but no profile is guaranteed to win.
The prize pool is only the $TTS voted on the winning profile. Without a club, it splits 35% to the top voter, 35% to the winning profile, 10% to the charity wallet and 20% to the house. Everything is paid in $TTS on Base, straight to wallets, in the settlement transaction. The winning profile and the top voter each get a TTS Round Trophy NFT. Frequently asked questions
Can I vote from the Telegram bot instead of the app?
The Telegram bot @TTSGameBot asks you to confirm you are 18 or older, then opens the game inside Telegram and links to the leaderboard and contract details. The same rule applies there: your wallet and your funds must be on Base. The network check does not change because the screen does.

Why did my large vote get refused?
A wallet with no eligible stake can vote at most 500 $TTS in one transaction, though it may vote again. A vote is also refused if it would lift a profile above 40% of all $TTS voted in the round, unless that profile holds every vote cast. Neither refusal has anything to do with the network.

Do I have to be verified to vote?
Everyone using the app or the Telegram bot must confirm they are 18 or older. The one-time ID and selfie check applies to a wallet’s first profile submission, not to voting. It confirms the submitter is an adult and that the ID, the selfie and the profile photo show the same person.

The Bottom Line
The short version: a multichain wallet is fine, as long as you know which chain you are standing on. Check that the network says Base. Check that your $TTS is the real contract on Base. Then vote. If you want the wider picture of where Base fits, read Is Base Still Early?, and run the five rug pull checks on anything you vote on, ours included.
$TTS is a utility token for playing the contest. Votes are final and non-refundable. Questions go to support@temptationtoken.io. The one thing to try today: open your wallet, find the network label, and make sure it says Base. Then Join.
